Akiko Ito

Born in Sendai City. Graduated from Toho Gakuen College of Music with a major in piano. Received a scholarship from the Kunitachi College of Music for excellent academic performance and entered the Master's program at the Graduate School. Upon graduation, she received the Grand Prize and the Kreutzer Prize.

2nd place at the Soleil Music Competition, Bronze medal at the Chopin International Piano Competition in ASIA, 3rd place at the Kitamoto Piano Competition, and 3rd place at the Japan Performers Competition.

In 2012, she performed in an ensemble at a Yamaha Music Support System concert. In 2014, she performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 24 with the Kunitachi College of Music Orchestra. She also appeared in the Rainbow 21 Debut Concert 2017, hosted by Suntory Hall. She will hold solo recitals in Tokyo in 2017 and Sendai in 2021. She is also studying contemporary music and extended piano playing techniques.

He currently performs solo, chamber music, and as an accompaniment.
